Accessibility Statement
Swiss Life takes the interests of its customers very seriously. In creating
our website, we have therefore taken special care to ensure that it provides
a really comprehensive source of information. To prevent a situation where
this information is only accessible to experienced net users, we have
constructed the Swiss Life website so that it meets current internet standards
and there are no barriers to visitors.
Our website is designed so that it can be used on many different levels,
for example by very experienced or relatively novice users.
We also offer visitors to our website who suffer from disabilities (from
less than normal vision through to severe visual impairment) a variety
of support, such as adjustable font sizes, tools for users of screen readers,
etc.
We are constantly working to improve the usability of our website (e.g.
freely accessible PDF files). If you have any feedback or questions, please
get in touch using the contact form. We look forward to hearing from you!
Keyboard shortcuts
Most web browsers support jumping to specific links by typing hotkey combinations
defined on the website.
In Windows, you can press Alt + an access key (if you are using Internet
Explorer, press Return to follow the link); on a Macintosh, you can press
Control + an access key.
Access keys are defined because not all users are able to use a mouse,
and several alternative browsing devices do not employ a 'point and click'
interface.
The Swiss Life site defines the following access keys (based on the UK
Government Access Keys Standard):
access key 0 (ALT+0) - accessibility statement
access key 1 (ALT+1) - home page
access key 2 (ALT+2) - news & media (external link)
access key 3 (ALT+3) - site map
access key 4 (ALT+4) - search facility
access key 5 (ALT+5) - download area
access key 6 (ALT+6) - help
access key 7 (ALT+7) - contact
access key 8 (ALT+8) - terms of use
access key 9 (ALT+9) - feedback (external link)
access key s (ALT+S) - skip main navigation links (in certain browsers)
Tooltips
More help is available in the form of 'tooltips'. Tooltips display descriptive
information in a layer when you hover over links, images, or other page
elements. Users of assistive software can also display this information,
although they may need to adjust their program settings first.
